An awesome salad with Penne pasta and ham. You can substitute the pasta to your favorite.
Penne Pasta and Ham Salad
- 2 cups dry Penne pasta
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 1½ tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon dried dill
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups diced cooked ham
- 6 oz sharp cheddar cheese cubed
- ½ cup sliced celery
Bring a large pot of water to a boil, then salt generously. Cook the pasta until tender. Drain and set aside.
In a small bowl, stir together the mayonnaise, sour cream, cider vinegar, mustard, cheese, celery, sugar, pepper, dill and salt.
In a large bowl, combine the drained pasta and ham. Pour the dressing over the top and stir to coat. Cover and chill for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight
